Description
Paste like stripping compound based on non – flammable solvents, developed to soften, dissolve and remove old paint layers.
Characteristics:
- Boiling Point: NA
- Flash Point: 20 – 25°C
Principal Characteristics:
To remove old alkyd paints and some types of epoxy, emulsion paints and polyurethanes.
Substrate Condition:
- Remove first loose paint layers by scraping.
- Apply a suitable quantity by soft haired brush.
- Thinner coats must be used on vertical work.
Removal Procedure:
Brush PAINT REMOVER in a quantity related to the thickness of the paint film that has to be removed.
Wait between 5 and 10 minutes; remove with a paint scraper or filling knife the softened paint before it dries.
Repeat this process in case of a very thick (old) paint film until all coats are removed.
After drying, sand the surface and remove the remainder of the PAINT REMOVER with a brush, thereafter flush with water.
Precautions:
Do not shake the tin. Puncture the lid before unscrewing, with a small nail wrapped in cloth to release the pressure.Try to avoid contact with skin, the softener in the PAINT REMOVER can burn the skin and is very volatile and dangerous if splashed onto skin, eye etc.
If material has been in contact with the skin, flush with plenty of water and seek medical advice as soon as possible. This product should be used in well-ventilated
areas. Al though this product is nonflammable smoking is prohibited during application and for a short time afterwards. (Please refer our material Safety Data Sheet.)
Physiological Hazards:
PAINT REMOVER does not contain dangerous solvents, nevertheless, good ventilation in working rooms is recommended as well as the use of safety tools and equipment. PAINT REMOVER is flammable and harmful if swallowed. If contact with eyes or skin occurs, wash well with fresh water and seek medical advise.
