Schneider Electric LRD22 TeSys LRD Thermal Overload Relay is a protective device used in electrical circuits to prevent overheating of motors or other equipment. The relay operates based on the principle that excessive current will lead to an increase in temperature.

16-24A is the range of current (in amperes) that the relay is designed to handle. It means that the relay is suitable for circuits where the current is expected to be between 16 and 24 amperes. Class 10A is the tripping class of the thermal overload relay. The tripping class indicates the time it takes for the relay to trip (disconnect) in response to an overload condition. In this case, Class 10A means that the relay will trip within a specific time frame when the current exceeds a certain threshold.

Class 10A relays are relatively quick to respond, typically tripping in a time range of 10 to 15 seconds at six times the rated current. It's important to select the appropriate tripping class based on the type of load and the motor's characteristics.
