Schneider Electric WHD63 Surface Mount Double Pole Isolating Switch is designed to be installed directly on the surface of a wall or enclosure, rather than being recessed into it. A double pole switch has two separate sets of contacts. It can simultaneously disconnect two live wires. It is a device that allows for the complete disconnection of an electrical circuit.

It's used to ensure that a circuit can be safely worked on or inspected without the risk of electrical shock. 63A is the amperage rating of the switch. 440V is the voltage rating of the switch. It's designed to handle a maximum voltage of 440 volts. IP66 is an Ingress Protection (IP) rating. The switch is dust-tight and can handle powerful water jets from any direction.
