Mas Paints PU Matt White #551

PU MATT WHITE # 551 is a pigmented topcoat based on poly – functional saturated polyesters. It is formulated for wood application to give an excellent satin finish with good covering properties.

Major Uses:

PU MATT WHITE # 551 is excellent for wood furniture, cabinets, bed sets, interior doors and frames.

Advantages:

• For interior/exterior application.
• Excellent hardness.
• Excellent weather resistance.
• Good adhesion and abrasion properties.

Method of Application:

• The surface to be coated should be primed with PU or Polyester Primer.
• It should be cleaned, well – sanded and free from dust, oil, water and other contaminants.
• To a well-prepared surface, apply 1 – 2 coats of PU MATT WHITE # 551, horizontally and vertically
• PU Matt White # 551 when applied by curtain coater, the viscosity of the lacquer should be controlled and monitored for the continuity of the finish.
• One coat may be sufficient for ordinary finish however; one additional coat can be applied wet on wet if necessary. Light sanding with 400 ~ 600 mesh sand paper is recommended before subsequent coats, when recoating time exceeds 3 hrs.

Storage:

Shelf life 12 months minimum if stored below 25 Degree Celsius.

Cleaning of Tools:

All tools should be cleaned with Wash Thinner or PU Thinner # 105.

Physiological Hazards:

PU MATT WHITE # 551 and Catalyst # 013 do not contain dangerous solvents, nevertheless, good ventilation in working rooms is recommended as well as the use of safety tools and equipment. PU MATT WHITE # 551 is flammable and harmful if swallowed. If contact with eyes or skin occurs, wash well with fresh water and seek immediate medical advice.
