Description
PU MATT CLEAR C/10 is a transparent polyurethane varnish based on saturated polyester resins, to provide smooth and satin finish with good covering properties and excellent hardness. Due to high quality of raw materials, it is resistant to water and mild acids and alkalis.
Major Uses:
PU MATT CLEAR C/10 is excellent for wood furniture such as beds, cabinets, chairs, sofas, doors and frames.
Surface Preparation:
- The surface to be coated should be primed with basecoat lacquer clear either polyurethane or polyester based sealer.
- It should be cleaned, well – sanded and free from dust, oil water and other contaminants.
- To a well – prepared surface, apply 1 – 2 coats of PU MATT CLEAR C/10, horizontally and vertically.
- To obtain a perfect finish coat, sand again with a very fine sand paper and repeat the top coating process.
Storage:
Shelf life of 12 months minimum if stored below 250C.
Cleaning of Tools:
All tools should be cleaned with Wash Thinner or PU Thinner # 105 as soon as possible.
Precautions:
PU MATT CLEAR C/10 and Catalyst # 034 do not contain dangerous solvents, nevertheless, good ventilation in working rooms is recommended as well as the use of safety tools and equipment. PU MATT CLEAR C/10 is flammable and harmful if swallowed. If contact with eyes or skin occurs, wash well with fresh water and seek immediate medical advise.

Recoating | One coat may be sufficient for ordinary finish. However, one additional coat can be applied wet on wet if necessary. Light sanding with 400 ~ 600 mesh sand paper is recommended before subsequent coat when recoating time exceeds 3 hrs and remove traces of wax. |
