Description
PU GLOSS CLEAR # 507 is a polyurethane glossy varnish based on poly – functional saturated polyester resin. A varnish of two component materials with excellent covering
properties and optimum brilliant finish. Due to its high solid content, it provides a U.V. resistance; resistant to weathering and some limited acid spillage.
Major Uses:
Highly recommended for household furniture such as beds, cabinets, chairs, sofas, doors and frames turned pieces and likes.
Method of Application:
- The surface to be topcoated should be primed with either polyurethane primer or polyester primer.
- It should be cleaned, well – sanded and free from dust, oil, water and other contaminants.
- To a well – prepared surface, apply 1 – 2 coats of PU GLOSS CLEAR # 507 horizontally and vertically.
- If additional coat is required to obtain a good finish, light sanding is necessary with 600-800 grit sandpaper is recommended prior to final coating.
Storage:
Shelf life 12 months minimum if stored below 250C.
Cleaning of Tools:
All tools should be cleaned with Wash Thinner or PU Thinner # 105.
Physiological Hazards:
PU GLOSS CLEAR # 507 and Catalyst # 003 do not contain dangerous solvents, nevertheless, good ventilation in working rooms is recommended as well as the use of safety tools and equipment. PU GLOSS CLEAR # 507 is flammable and harmful if swallowed. If contact with eyes or skin occurs, wash well with fresh water and seek immediate medical ate medical advise.
