Dewalt DCE088D1R-QW 12V XR Cross Line Red Laser is designed to project bright red laser lines onto surfaces, aiding in accurate alignment and leveling tasks. It utilizes a red laser diode to project the laser lines. Red lasers are generally more visible to the human eye compared to green lasers. This laser is capable of projecting both horizontal and vertical lines simultaneously, creating a crosshair pattern. 

The laser has a leveling accuracy of ±3 mm at 10 meters, meaning the projected lines will be accurate within a 3 mm range over a distance of 10 meters. The maximum working range of the laser is typically around 20 to 30 meters, depending on the ambient lighting conditions. It is equipped with a self-leveling mechanism that automatically adjusts the laser lines to be level.

Cross Line Red Laser is powered by a 12V XR lithium-ion battery. The included battery provides a sufficient runtime for most tasks, and the laser also features a battery indicator to monitor the remaining charge level. The laser has a 1/4-inch thread at the bottom, allowing it to be mounted on various tripods or compatible mounting devices for stability and flexibility during operation.
