Caparol CapaPrime Interior Primer

Caparol CapaPrime is a superior-quality, economical acrylic co-polymer water-based primer designed for interior surfaces. It is low VOC and ecologically compatible, ensuring good indoor air quality while providing excellent adhesion, opacity, and alkali resistance. Enhanced with anti-fungicide, it offers better performance than traditional PVA primers, making it the ideal base coat for a wide range of interior substrates.

Application Details:

• Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, free of dust, grease, oil, loose particles, and powder paint. Repair any damaged areas prior to application.

• Mixing: Single-component product, mix thoroughly before use. Can be diluted with potable water only.

• Coverage: 7–8 m²/L per coat at 25–30 µm dry film thickness.

• Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour, ready for overcoat in 4 hours (dependent on temperature, humidity, and ventilation).

• Application Conditions: Substrate temperature ≥10°C and at least 3°C above dew point.

• Tools: Brush, roller, airless spray. Airless Spray Guide: Pressure 150–180 bars, tip 0.018”–0.026”, spray angle 50°–80°.

Storage & Handling:

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space below 35°C. Keep containers tightly closed, out of reach of children. Shelf life: 24 months.

Ensure good ventilation. Avoid inhaling vapors or spray mist. Use proper respiratory protection when spraying indoors. Wear eye protection and protective clothing. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately and seek medical advice if needed.
