Caparol Amphibolin Exterior and Interior Emulsion Paint

Caparol Amphibolin is a high-quality pure acrylic, water-based emulsion paint suitable for both interior and exterior surfaces. It delivers a semi-matt, low-odour finish and provides exceptional protection against aggressive air pollutants, UV rays, and weathering. Amphibolin is self-priming, elastomeric, and flexible, offering excellent adhesion to almost all common substrates, including sound existing paint, rigid PVC, fibrous cement sheets, and wood. Its durability, damp-scrubbing resistance, and multipurpose functionality make it ideal for new and maintenance applications.

Recommended Use:

• Interior and exterior masonry walls and ceilings

• Primed walls with cement plaster or concrete

• Sound existing emulsion paint coatings

• Sheathing boards such as fibre cement boards, calcium silicate boards, gypsum boards, ETICS, EIFS facades

Application & Coverage:

• Tools: Roller, brush, or airless spray

• Dilution: Up to 10% with potable water

• Dry Film Thickness: 45–60 µm

• Wet Film Thickness: 100–135 µm

• Theoretical Spreading Rate: 5–7.5 m²/L per coat

• Drying Time: Touch dry 1–4 hours; Recoat 3–12 hours depending on temperature

• Application Temperature: 5°C–40°C

• Shelf Life: 24 months (unopened, stored below 35°C)

• Keep in a cool, dry, ventilated place; keep out of reach of children
