Asian Paints Berger SmartCare Damp Block 2K

Asian Paints Berger SmartCare Damp Block 2K is a two-component acrylic polymer-modified waterproofing system made with advanced aggregates, cements, graded sands, and proprietary additives. It forms a seamless, elastomeric cementitious membrane with excellent crack-bridging ability, ensuring long-lasting protection against water seepage and hydrostatic pressure.

Recommended Uses:

• Water retaining and excluding structures – tanks, spillways, water channels

• Potable water and brackish water storage tanks (up to 5 m depth)

• Swimming pools, fountains, and water features

• Bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, food prep areas, and countertops

• Balconies, terraces, and decks with anticipated movement

• Steam rooms and steam showers

• Flexible waterproofing membrane under ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles

Application Method:

1. Prepare and clean substrate (SSD condition, cracks sealed).

2. Mix powder into liquid (2:1 ratio) with a slow-speed drill.

3. Apply first coat at ~700 microns, allow 4–6 hrs drying.

4. Apply second coat perpendicular to the first.

5. Cure for 3–5 days before exposure or overlaying screed/tiles.

Safety & Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place with tightly closed lid

• Keep away from children and food items

• Use protective gear during application

• Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes; rinse immediately if exposed

• Do not pour leftover material into drains or water sources
